Two hobbies coming together
Nature watching and photography
I joined the Young Ornithologists Club, the junior branch of the RSPB, not long after it was founded in the 1960s. About the same time I got my first Kodak Brownie camera. The first hobby was supported by my dad, the second by my mum.

Not until I was much older and had the funds for a camera to which you could add a zoom or macro lens did I start to take nature photography seriously.

Only on moving to Lithuania and finding a much more ecologically preserved environment than I left in Southern England have I really been able to take photos that I am happy enough with to make available for all to see.

Recently I have begun to specialise in bird photography because ornithology is a forever learning process. Seeing good photos of birds is really helpful with identification when you are out enjoying nature or just looking out the window to your garden!

Letting others enjoy my best work and maybe better appreciate the almost hidden beauty of what surrounds us all is the purpose of the potterseye.com web site. The galleries will be updated continuously, so if you like any of what you see, please come back later.
